SEEDANCE 2.0 LAUNCH DELAYED (OR SUSPENDED?)
Seedance 2.0 was set to launch several days ago at the end of February, however ongoing challenges from Hollywood over IP infringement have put it into mystery.
SAG-AFTRA released a statement a while back taking aim at Seedance 2.0 for the use of characters and actors in AI video creations. This, as well as pressure from other sources of Hollywood, have led to delays of the release to the wider public.
As creators await for more information, there are rumors of a global suspension due to copyright complaints.
None of this has been verified by Bytedance at this time.
Seedance 2.0 remains one of the most comprehensive and impressive models ever created, citing multi-frame, native audio and high definition outputs surpassing every other tool out there.
MIDJOURNEY V8 Is Coming
Midjourney are currently testing their new V8 model. It has been in discussions since the start of 2026, and would mark an exciting release to build on the success of all the previous versions.
Midjourney V8 has been discussed heavily on the Discord with users now able to test and give feedback on the model. Like previous versions they are quite transparent in when releases are set to come out.
Although the list of new features is not fully confirmed, we can expect better prompt adherance, writing, styles and references.
Midjourney continues to build on their solid image generation, but it would be interesting to see if their AI Video tool also takes a step forward too.
