Explaining node-based flows

Node-based Canvas from Freepik Spaces
Nodes are small widgets that connect together to automate a specific workflow.
They can be anything, from image generation, video generation, audio, upscaling or even just text.
The secret of this is you can experiment and test different types of nodes by easily connecting them together in an open canvas.
You are able to break down, alter and adjust your workflow (e.g. changing models and prompts) without compromising the entire flow.
A Quick Ad About Wispr Flow
Really cool to be able to speak about Wispr Flow as it’s an AI tool that I use myself regularly. Instead of typing, I am able to dictate my thoughts on my laptop or my phone to speed up the writing process!
Speak fuller prompts. Get better answers.
Stop losing nuance when you type prompts. Wispr Flow captures your spoken reasoning, removes filler, and formats it into a clear prompt that keeps examples, constraints, and tone intact. Drop that prompt into your AI tool and get fewer follow-up prompts and cleaner results. Works across your apps on Mac, Windows, and iPhone. Try Wispr Flow for AI to upgrade your inputs and save time.
Let’s Get Back to Nodes!
Not all node-based tools are the same though.
Some are built for experimentation. Some are built for detail.
Let’s dive into three entry-level options we have.
Freepik Spaces
ENTRY LEVEL WORKSPACES WITH A TON OF MODELS
Freepik is my go-to tool for anything creative with AI.
It has a ton of third party models from Kling, Veo, Nano Banana Pro, Seedream and so on which you can use as part of your node-based workflows.
This gives you full creative power to test, ideate and explore multiple models to achieve the same goal.
Whether it’s a product advert, marketing video, movie scenes, or anything. You can set up your flow and select a single button to run it.

Weavy
DETAILED TOOL THAT GOES BEYOND
Weavy introduces more video and art utilities than just third party models.
From stitching videos together, 3D models, upscaling, audio and even music, Weavy AI is a powerful tool to create complex flows with.
What I enjoy about Weavy is how incredibly accessible it is, but with such an insane amount of depth where you can literally move 3D products in a space to see how it looks on in separate scenes.

Runway
A TOOL FOCUSING ON MODIFICATION
Runway stands out as one of the most cinematic AI video tools out there. With their expansion into third party models such as Google Nano Banana Pro and Veo 3.1, they have brought more options for user on top of Runway 4.5.
However, the key advantage of Runway is their Aleph model. Aleph is a powerful video modification model that acts as a fantastic node if you ever need to adjust a video that you have created.
From adding, removing, changing or completely altering the angle of a scene, Aleph opens up a ton more doors for you in an effective workflow.
Node-Based Flows Help With Transparency
The key question we get asked a lot in the creative space is:
How did you make that
With node-based flows, you can share the exact prompts, tools and steps you took to achieve something and opens up a whole load of transparency for everyone out there.
