Runway launched Gen 4.5 a few months back, and have slowly been adding new features to it.
Runway have expanded further than their own tools, but into an ecosystem for creativity.
Their recent partnership with Adobe is a clear example of two companies (that traditionally have stayed quite isolated) of opening their doors to help each other keep up in the competitive world of Gen-AI creativity.
Gen 4.5 brings better video quality, faster generation times and now is available alongside other tools in the Runway platform (such as Veo 3.1).
Workflows: The Node Graph Revolution
Runway Workflows brings node-based creativity to the screen. This has now led to the relase of Runway Apps.
As Runway Workflows let you define your perfect AI creativity pipeline, Apps brings this to the user in a quicker and more compact way.
Reducing the complexity of node-based canvases, Apps are a way to get the same result in a more user-friendly way.

Multi-Shot Arrives
The latest release brings Multi-Shot to Runway. From a single shot, you can generate multiple new consistent scenes.
Multi-Shot is becoming the standard for AI Videos, and Runway responds with their own Multi-Shot app.
This involves audio, a mixture of prompts and an AI video tool to give you automatic scene cuts from a text or image prompt.
You can also use the custom feature to clearly define what happens in each specific scene with text prompts.
