Quick Notes
ChatGPT Codex has seen a surge of installs in the past 2 weeks.
The new ChatGPT 5.5 model has been impressive, now being rolled out across Codex and ChatGPT experiences.
Codex has also launched Pets, a small creature that lives on your device that helps keep you up to date on your ongoing prompts.
Write docs 4x faster. Without hating every second.
Nobody became a developer to write documentation. But the docs still need to get written — PRDs, README updates, architecture decisions, onboarding guides.
Wispr Flow lets you talk through it instead. Speak naturally about what the code does, how it works, and why you built it that way. Flow formats everything into clean, professional text you can paste into Notion, Confluence, or GitHub.
Used by engineering teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay. 89% of messages sent with zero edits. Works system-wide on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.
Staying Flexible
Make Sure Your Work Can Adapt
With all the new tools, and competition, it’s recommended to keep your Agent files, projects and work somewhere that can be accessed by new tools.
I used Claude Cowork and Claude Code for a month. It did the following for me:
Track projects, invoices and any finances involved.
Read emails and calendar, giving me an update on what is to come.
Analyzing meeting notes from Granola.
Creating micro-apps for me, knowing my design style and system.
To make this adaptable, I kept everything in Notion and backed-up with local files.
When I kept hitting Claude limits, I decided to go to ChatGPT Codex, and it was easy to pick things up and go.
Codex was able to even optimize what Claude had built.
Why Am I Hitting Limits?
Honestly…who knows! But this is the one key issue that many are facing with AI tools.
You want to keep going, but hit your limit on your session and you have to upgrade for more as a result.
In the world of competition (Claude vs OpenAI), there are times where we get given a bit more temporarily.
More connections, more features, more usage time - but this can all change quickly which is why a modular setup is critical.
I always say:
Subscribe MONTHLY to AI tools only, don’t lock yourself into longer term subscriptions as things change so fast.
Although OpenAI are being generous now, this could change in a matter of weeks.
ACTION STEPS
Do these things now:
Ensure you know where your Agent Files are located.
Ask Claude or Codex if the setup is modular and easy to understand.
Create back-ups of everything locally if you can.
