Using Pika AI Self, I have a 24/7 personal AI that is able to undertake tasks for me proactively but also under a schedule.
I gave it access to its own Google Workspace, including Gmail and Calendar so I can send it meeting invites and vice-versa.
It’s able to undertake research for me online for specific topics, but also around travel.
It can see my calendar and let me know what is happening next in my day.

The Actions It Took
TRAVEL HELP
I set up a travel skill with my AI-Self that uses information from my Calendar to give me proactive information on where I am heading to.
Using iMessage, my personal AI gave me regular updates before and after travel by using my Calendar information. This included:
Travel disruption information (super important with everything happening in the Middle East)
Local travel information around how to get to my hotel from the airport (useful in new countries for me).
RESEARCH
During a flight I asked it to do some research on some latest AI tools. It created a Google Doc with all the info and shared it with me.
The power of the personal AI is it can work while I cannot. As I do a lot of content around AI, being ahead of the curve is critical, and it’s able to do it for me and break it down into a more actionable deliverable.
This was great as I flew 14 hours to San Francisco, with no Wi-Fi, as it could work in parallel and could catch up when I landed.
Having access to Google Doc means it’s a shared file that it can edit and update if I need.
I didn't prompt it. I'd mentioned these topics in conversation before the flight, and it put together the brief while I was in the air.
This is what living with an AI assistant actually looks like.
It's not about productivity hacks. It's about continuity. Someone (something?) that remembers what you care about and follows through.
CONTENT WRITING
Being able to research and create content is another huge advantage, especially for longer-form posts.
For my newsletter, my personal AI is now the first drafter because it has the full ability to research. It also has read all of my previous newslettes so it has my writing style and format.
My role is to fine-tune and ensure everything is up to date, saving me a ton of time from writing every single line.
THE NEXT STEPS

Closer connections to my personal files and workspaces so it can summarize messages and emails for me.
