Quick Notes

  • Google I/O 2026 was not really about one model. It was about Gemini becoming the agent layer across Google.

  • Gemini Omni Flash is the big creative announcement: any input to video, with conversational editing.

  • Google Flow is moving from “generate a clip” to a proper AI creative studio.

  • The catch: consistency, complex motion and accurate text are still not solved forever.

Catch Bad Actors. Let Good Users Flow.

Online traffic isn’t just “human vs bot” anymore.

It’s AI agents, good bots, bad bots… all blending in and getting harder to detect.

That’s where hCaptcha stands out.

Traditional security methods are falling behind. hCaptcha exposes hidden threats with adaptive AI models and intent analysis, providing instant, private verification.

Don’t just take it from us, hear from one of our customers:

“Compared to last year [when using competitor], we had a 96% reduction in bot throughput.” - Top 10 Gaming Company

Virtually all companies that book a demo with hCaptcha decide to move forward.

Gemini Omni Is Nano Banana For Video

Video Editing, All With AI.

We can now edit videos in the same way we edit images. All within the Google Workspace.

The most important creative announcement from Google I/O was Gemini Omni.

Google describes it as a new model family that can “create anything from any input”, starting with video. The first release is Gemini Omni Flash, and it takes text, images, audio and video as inputs, then outputs high-resolution video with audio.

Instead of generating a clip, downloading it, moving to another tool, then trying to fix the weird bit that broke, Gemini Omni is built around natural, step-by-step conversation.

I did a full tutorial here:

Google Flow Is Becoming A Creative Operating System

Google Flow was already one of the more interesting AI filmmaking tools because it was built specifically around video creation.

At I/O, Google pushed it further.

The more strategic announcement might be Flow Agent.

Until now, Flow could mostly execute one prompt at a time. Flow Agent changes that into a multi-step creative partner. Google says it can help brainstorm, create, edit, generate multiple variations, batch edit assets, organise collections and even rename things.

Making a video is not one prompt. It is a loop: idea, reference, test, compare, revise, organise, cut, polish, publish.

The models are getting good enough that the bottleneck is shifting from generation to creative management. Which assets are good? Which version had the right lighting? Which shot needs to match the character from scene three? Which caption style did we settle on?

Flow Agent is Google trying to own that layer.

Personal Update

I am beyond appreciative for the Google team for inviting me to Google I/O this year, and for providing early access to the latest creative tools.

This is a special event, full of incredibly passionate creatives and technologists.

The Google team are taking steps to change the world.
