Quick Notes

  • Online creators have dropped shorts of new AI videos that has led to a further divide between traditional artists and those that use AI.

  • This video, featuring pigeons in a funny comedy sketch, has led to controversy, but importantly show show far AI video has come in such a short period of time.

The video is awesome. It’s funny, brings life to characters and looks beyond professional.

Though traditionalists have begun to nitpick it.

The Divide Won’t Go Away

New Technology Scares People

AI Video is another tool for creatives to use, but it sits under heavy controversies and criticisms.

With the latest models, we are seeing huge steps forward in people bringing their tastes and stories to life.

We have gone past the ‘it’s good enough’ line, to hit a point where there are clear expectations of what new AI models must be expected to do.

The new form of storytelling is based on new tools, but the key elements of your artistry are still required. To create something that is impactful, speaks to people and drives emotions is something that AI cannot do directly.

It needs people. It needs creatives.

We are in a wonderful time where anyone who has an incredible idea can go ahead and make it without the blockades of high expenses, time and resources.

The Nitpicking Is Being Dulled By Advancement

One of the major criticisms of AI video is we cannot edit it afterwards.

This is completely untrue.

With tools like Runway Aleph, completely built on editing AI video, we are now in a time where we can remove, edit and modify video without affecting the compositions.

The latest models of Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0, you can use video as input to make modifications as well. Whether it’s adjusting camera, changing motion or removing objects, we can do this now.

It’s only at the early stages as well, as every new release gives us even more control.

Personal Updates

I’m scheduled to head to TWO major AI events on the West Coast soon:

  • Google IO in Mountain View is set to see the release of a huge array of new AI creative tools. I’ll be there as part of the Builders Crew to bring you all the latest updates ASAP.

  • Upscale SF powered by Magnific (formerly Freepik), takes place in early June where creative experts come from all over the world to discuss what is the future of the space.

Beyond happy to be involved again this year!
